Smokeless Stove for safer and more efficient cooking

Respiratory problems like asthma and emphysema are prevalent in the villages because cooking is done over an open fire in the home where children sleep and play.  Smokeless stoves eliminate smoke inside houses, burn more effectively, and reduce the risk of burns from cooking.  In addition to preventing smoke inhalation, stoves allow for more efficient use of fuel, decreasing time spent seeking fuel, and reducing environmental impacts.  Our stoves are built with a rocket design which heats quickly, stays warm for a long time, and has enough space to cook food for a large family.  Villagers provide sand, rock for cement, and labor to build the stove.
