Volunteer In Guatemala

Join GVH on an upcoming medical mission trip, which takes place twice per year over a two-week period.

Trips generally depart in early February and late July.

While on a trip you will:

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community leaders.

  • Work to improve the health, education and economic opportunity in rural villages across Guatemala.

  • Interact with patients, teach hygiene and dental care.

  • Help with IT and support needs.

We believe that everyone has something to offer. On a typical trip, volunteers find themselves not only work and teaching, but trying traditional foods, kicking a soccer ball around with the kids, and practicing Spanish or picking up phrases in Queq'chi', the native Mayan language.

Our Mission

To improve individual and village health in rural Guatemala through education, empowerment of local leaders,
and development of local health providers.
