In Memory of  Dr. Linda Pinsky

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a long time friend and supporter of Guatemala Village Health, Dr. Linda Pinsky. Linda had an innate sense of curiosity and a deep passion for healthcare, earning a doctorate in Naturopathy and graduating at the top of her class from UW School of Medicine. She remained there as a physician and professor where she was heralded by her students and colleagues as an amazing teacher. She also taught medicine in China, Uganda, and Guatemala. Linda served on the Guatemala Village Health Board of Directors for several years, and traveled to Guatemala with us and the UW Bothell School of Nursing in 2016. Despite enduring the challenge of multiple sclerosis, she was determined to continue making a difference for those less fortunate than herself. She will be missed, and we are forever grateful to have been able to work with her, learn from her, and share in her joy in the privilege of caring for others.  

 

In lieu of flowers, Linda and her family have requested donations to Guatemala Village Health in her memory.
