We had a great turnout at our second annual Guatemalan Independence Day celebration! Over 100 people attended, and we all enjoyed delicious foods and drinks, lots of dancing, and even heard songs and poetry honoring Guatemala.
Carolyn Bain, our executive director, received an award from Chapines de Seattle on behalf of GVH. We were recognized as “Organization of the Year" for the work we do in Guatemala.
We are aware of and monitoring the global situation due to COVID-19. As of now, we hope to proceed with our planned medical mission trip to Guatemala in August. Please reach out with any questions or concerns you may have as a volunteer.
